Our "Staycation"

Since it was my birthday this last week, John and I decided that was a good excuse to take a couple of days off work and go on a "staycation." We are saving up for our big trip in June to Austin (less than 2 months away now!!), so we decided it would be cheaper to just visit some places in Utah we haven't been to or don't get to go to often.

So, one day we spent the whole day in Park City and had a blast! We went shopping, walked up and down Main Street, checked out the Canyons Resort, and had dinner.

After our shopping spree...I promise it's not as bad as it looks! Haha

He was a pretty cozy bear!

Our amazing dessert after dinner at Oishi. It's a japanese ice cream
treat wrapped in pressed strawberry flavored rice. It was delicious!
Then the next day, we drove up to Brigham City and had lunch at Maddox (the most delicious rolls & raspberry butter EVER!) and visited Crystal Hot Springs.

We knew we were in podunk Utah when we
saw these wild turkeys right by the road!
It was an awesome little break from work, and we had a great time just checking out some of the cool stuff right in our area!

Also, I know I haven't updated my recipes or restaurant reviews lately, but I will soon! I'm sure all (three of) my fans are wondering what I've been cooking lately and what interesting places we've been eating out at!
